Is the bendix on a 24v starter different than on a 12v starter? My 24v starter has been completely rebuilt and within 6mos it needs bendix #3..... what the

I'm assuming that is what happened since the first shop to rebuild it put 12V solenoid on it. Needless to say it's going to a different shop...The Bendix solenoid for a 24 volt is a 24 volt winding. If they used a 12 volt, it will burn out fast
Thank youOf course it is. The 24 volt starter is lighter weight than the 12 volt starter. The out housing of a 12 volt can be converted and vice versa 24 volt to 12 volt. Good Luck. https://www.leidyrepair.com/
