Upgrading to spin on fuel filters and was checking to see if the fdc had been bypassed yet. It appears I don’t have one I think. Should be on the firewall side of the injection pump right behind the hh correct? Is this normal?
It has the lds-465-1a rebuilt in 92 if that matters.

Perfectly normal, I can’t remember the identification “Code” of the pump but eventually they started doing away with the FDC altogether

LDS427 pumps never had an FDC. I was completely unaware of any engines where the FDC was deleted.

G code pumps don't have or need an FDC. I believe this was one of the later pumps and must have been designed for running straight diesel. No need then for compensating the different fuel densities which is what the FDC function was.

They are bypassed because they somehow are a path for fuel to leak into the engine oil. So many posts on here with great detail about why.
