m51a2 Dump weapons mount options?

Obviously a ring isn't an option with the cab protector being in the way. What sort of options would have been used (if any) to mount a 50 cal or other MG?

I'm not aware of any actually being used.

But there's a swing out dash mount that puts an M240 or M249 in a hmmwv. This would probably take little tweaking to put a belt fed into your truck.

Or a pedestal in the bed.

Neither of these options strike me as particularly desirable in combination with the dump truck.

Just get a deuce and put an M66 on it and use of for overwatch.....

Hmmm, I have a few belt feds. I am surprised there wasn't an option. Maybe mount a pintle mount on the cab protector?

A M60 on the bipod on the headboard with the gunner in the dump body as suggested in post 4 was the way the engineers did it in RVN.
