Speedometer question

For some reason my M998 has a kph ONLY speedometer on it. I bought a replacement one with mph/kph on it. Installed it and it's about 15-20mph off (low). I checked it with the GPS on my phone. The kph speedo is really close, only about 2kph off. The cable had a kink in it so I replaced the speedo cable..... No change.. Is the speedometer I bought a real one or a KMart special? Thanks.

CLARK BROTHERS is a legitimate company. Did you compare the 2 speedos to see if the KPH was the same on both at a particular speed? If both the same, then issue is elsewhere. It is free to take apart the parts near the transfer case and clean and inspect. Make sure the little square pin is not rounded.

The kph one reads good when comparing it to my phone GPS when set on kph. New speedo cable. The new one reads 15-20mph low on kph and mph....

You got the wrong one...it fits : M35, M54, M809, M939, M38, M37 etc.
