The semi auto's that'd be appropriate are the M240B, an M2HB or an M249. They're all frequently available, just expensive. The M249 would be the cheapest to acquire and the cheapest to feed. Acquisition cost >$12k in today's market, and $0.70-$0.90 per round to feed.

The M2HB would be the most desirable semi to put in it. Acquisition cost of about $18k and $4 or so per round.

That's an extremely nice truck and extremely desirable in that configuration.

The M2HB is an awesome weapon! I saw a company somewhere that makes a functional reproduction for about 15k. A little out of my range currently. All are fine weapons. I'll mess around and find something somewhere. Thank you so much for the help!

I'm sort of in the same position you are. I have an LWS ringmount for my M925 and nothing to put in it.

I'm somewhat picky and want something period correct. This excludes the 1919s. And the M60 is just such a turd.

I hesitated to spend $8k two years ago on a semi M249. A place in Phoenix had two of them at that price, and I just couldn't bring myself to drop that kind of cash on something that really doesn't do anything any decent AR won't do. At the current market rate of almost double that, it's even less appealing.

I think I'm holding out for the M2HB. Eventually. Not soon.

Sounds like a good plan.

Cool truck. I knew from the start with my budget that I'd never be able to get anything "modern" on my gun truck build. So I did an 1919A4 with a crankfire. Had to modify a cradle a bit but it works fantastically and didn't cost an outrageous amount. Keeping it fed is a different story.

Oh, and I also wanted an MTVR because I'm a Marine. But again, those cost to much. So, I'm in an LMTV. So, I hate you. :coffee::giggle:
