Insulating Cab

Under the cab will be SOP. And the interior doors, roof, back and sides will be pretty simple.

But I'm too spoiled hosing sand out of the entire cab with the garden hose and bare floors are simple to hose out.

I suppose removable floormat sections under the feet would work, but between wind and dog the entire cab gets coated with sand.

Any of the usual Lizard/Dyna/Kil/Noico/mat stuff that doesn't play well with water and should be avoided?

I know what they say about the products but I'm more interested in hearing first-hand experiences.

I have seen a lot of these trucks with the stick-on foil insulation under the truck. Would imagine that spending a couple of bucks for some bulkhead fittings at the drain hole in the floorboard would be required. Just to keep the rinse water from sagging the insulation down onto the motor. No first hand info to offer though. Just the Tube videos by the habitat builders...

Call lizard, they will sell you 5 gallons a bit cheaper

I tried lot lizzard skins in the floor board but they stick to the bottom of my feet something awful !

I have a thread somewhere with the floor Matt material I am using. I have a roll and like the product so far. I have not j stalled it yet.

I have KillMat on the floor inside the cab and cut around the drains. I will put the rubber floor mat over top and just lift it up if I am
Hosing it out.

No experience yet, but I plan to use expanded rubber in the dump.

I used fatmat sheets in the lmtv back when. It dropped db by about 10 which I thought was pretty good. It was 50mil I believe.

So that is great for fatigue and dropping screws to find later, but that won’t help with sound at all. They make mats specifically for sound. The stock A1 hump pad is made from acoustic matting. My thread above has a few links to a similar material.
