I’ve been trying to source a new radiator for my truck. They don’t seem to be available anymore. Does anybody have an idea as to where to get a new radiator for these trucks?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
That is a lot of money but cheaper than my local radiator shop. He wanted $1400 to recore and I don’t feel like he was trying to gouge me. Supplies seem tight. He did find one some place for $600 but we can’t confirm the cooler lines are on the right sides. I just emailed and eBay seller that may have an aluminum one for $200. I don’t have a lot of hope as they are all sold out and nobody can seem to get them.New will be hard to come by. hillbilly wizard for a used one in good shape, might be able to have it recored. Just did my truck for a $920 bill recore.
Good luck

I saw that part number earlier. I called AutoZone and they can’t get one. Napa can’t get one either. So they don’t have any vendors to source it. It seems to be a difficult item to get.A member has said that this radiator was a good choice for a new. I could not get one I didn't want to wait , so I had my recored. you might check and see if there's availability it was only like $450 but they kept on saying back order back order back order.

That’s some good information. Thank you. I may have just found a copper/brass radiator. The picture looks right but we will see when it gets in. This is been my day project. I have accomplished nothing else today. Maybe I can get the grass mowed before it gets dark.I went with the biggest aluminum replacement radiator I could a few years ago on my Cowdog truck. I got it from Radiator Express. They seem to be out:

No worries, my friend, Colton represented your family well. He is a fine young man, and a very positive reflection on his upbringing. Cheerswww.steelsoldiers.com
Talk about why I went aluminum and show a picture of a true drop in replacement to the stock radiator but in shiny aluminum.

Thanks. The part number is available but the radiator is not available anymore.Autozone Duralast SPI B850
The radiator is available to order in store not for delivery to your house. At least that is how it is here in California.Thanks. The part number is available but the radiator is not available anymore.
It sure looks like the right one. Good find. Fingers crossed it arrives in good condition and the seller stands behind it.I found the radiator from a place in Chicago. If anybody's interested I can get the seller. My local radiator shop guy was able to source the radiator. I called 15 places and nobody had it. They show part numbers for it but no one could produce a radiator. This is a copper brass perfect match for $629.View attachment 848339
After looking at the picture it appears that the radiator you show is the one you ordered. It looks in great shape, looks like you got a good one.I found the radiator from a place in Chicago. [The Wrench Monkey has a Spectra CU850 in stock for $451.00
I found several on a Google search as well but when it came to shipping one nobody could come through. NAPA can't get them. AutoZone can't either. Some ebay sellers say they have them but sent me a message that they were not available. Maybe it's just crazy right now.I always preferred the plastic tank / aluminum fin radiators. I have plow trucks with 250K miles and never had the radiators out of them. That never happened with the copper / brass radiators in years past. Some things just got better with technology. Wheel bearings, exhaust systems, and engines go and go with hardly any repairs needed. Basic maintenance goes a long way. Acidic antifreeze kills a lot of radiators. I did Google search and found a few of the Spectra CU850 radiators available. $ core vs 2 core. The intention is to keep the engine cool. And if it does that I won't be out core counting anyone's radiator. Made in China, Canada, USA, or Bangladesh. If the raditor fits and does the job use it. But $1000. for a radiator re-core. I will pass on that. The replacements come with a life time warranty and I have had to replace one twice and once was with the owner I sold the truck to several states away. Good Luck. Be Safe. I have a few cores for rebuilding but would never sell a used radiator as a good one. Not at this point in time.
Sorry for you late reply. I got one and it was almost identical. Worked out well.I may have one. Let me look. I had a few OEM ones that were the Harrison plastic/aluminum and a few copper brass. I may have used them up but I spotted one in a parts hunt last week and want to see if it is a full box or just an empty box. Do you live in Delaware?
