Possible to re-attach voltage regulator cover

Three of the small screws or pop rivets, whatever they may be, that attach the data plate to the voltage regulator are missing on my truck (see attached photo). Is it possible to repair this piece, or does it entail buying and installing a new voltage regulator?

Can't say for sure, but that one little tiny thing holding that plate on the alternator... It is possibly a screw? Something that maybe you could take off and carry to a nut and bold distributor? TAPE IT DOWN to a card or something so you don't lose the only one that you have!

Only other choice might be a set of rivets, but when you need in that access that will be a royal pain.

They're called drive rivets that look like small twisted nails. McMaster-Carr sells them.

Just clean it and use RTV sealant...and done.

Like the others said, you don´t want to buy a new regulator, just because the data plate is loose. Those regulators go for big $$$$.
