Fuel Shut off solenoid trouble

I am now going on the third replacement solenoid, they are only lasting about 6 months. They are for 8.3 Cummins made in China. I have used different vendors each time. What has been your experience with these solenoids?

The same as yours…so I just remove them and use the manual shut-off cable.

It's on the dash below the throttle lock. They all were equipped with one

If it's gone cables are available on eBay

If you decide to not remove it, look at the source of the issue. 3 solenoids fail... maybe your starting solenoid is amping it out?

Thanks, I’ll go look for it. I never thought about looking for one and I’ve had the truck for 5 years

Use a meter set on amps and check peak amps during start.
