All,

What are you using?

Where did you get it?

Is it DOT approved? Fire rated? Does it need to be?

I am about to make my panels…. Need to finalize the material.

I filled in all the crevices with insulating foam. you can see the results from my FLIR camera. then I'll do a layer of mylar bubble heat shield then a thin tempered fiber board headliner covered with the same fabric I used on my door panels. that I got from Costco

The DOT can KMA if they want to regulate my custom headliner material...

I'll use what looks good and lasts.

LOL

I've gotten some swatches from these guys.

I've used their marine vinyl and neoprene before, too.

Bought mine at lowes 1 foot x 12 foot 6 bucks so a 6 ft by 12 foot piece under 40 bucks i use formica glue wilson art red glue you can get it by the gallon and run it thru a harbour freight paint gun and leave the glue in the gun it doesnt dry up ! pick it up a month later go back to spraying just shoot both surfaces wait 10 min and be damn sure your square when yo put them togeather cause it aint coming back apart and dont use the red glue on lite colored vinyl / material the red will bleed thru so use the clear for that but this carpet stuff were using go red all the way

I don't suppose I could get 13 ft of that roll for $100? I definitely don't need 60 ft of it. Just enough for the back panel and ceiling panel. Or divide that role into four 15-ft sections and sell individually.

I am almost done with cutting my plywood. What glue do you recommend. I saw Chucky listed a glue. Any other suggestions?

Did anyone paint or treat the plywood? I am using 1/4 ply.

DAP weldwood hhr contact cement is what you want for glue, standard in custom car audio shops. I don't know about pre-treating plywood. MDF is all I've ever used, it's about 100x easier to work with than plywood.
