If you all would like a better forum for GTB talk, ask the owner to create one. Seems like a Trucks 1/2 Ton to to 1 1/2 Ton forum would be good. Merge with the Dodge one. Or Small Trucks Non-Dodge?

I picked one up this year. I had my first gtb back in 1979, unfortunately it was too far gone for my modest means. The engine and transmission were solid with rust and the parts literally crumbled while trying to take them apart. This new one (to me) is out of the desert and has zero rust and the finest sheet metal I have yet to see on a WW2 vehicle. Im just finishing all new harnesses for the wiring. Hunting down top bows and other parts that need correcting.IMG_0970.jpeg

Old thread, but if you are looking for GTB parts or want to talk GTB, Don Gomes in Central CA will be your friend. His number is on post #78.

He usually attends the Camp Plymouth meets in September and April which is the biggie in the West..

Yes I know Don. Have gotten parts from him. He is also a wealth of knowledge on these cool trucks.

Hey I have 2 new windshields in the frame complete assembly rubber is like new still entire set up with latches . Just got out of the crate from late 40.
Thanks, but back in March I was contacted by a guy in Florida who had the frame but no windows! I drove 3200miles, but I now have windshield frame, frozen but a decent frame! Now on to find a good diagram of the passenger seat!

The passengers seat is a major acquisition these days. I located a good one last year, at least metal wise. Everything but the very front rails to fender bracket. It was a thousand dollars, then 350 for seat cushions, still doing the two straps. But it came with the castings and hardware for the strap ends.

That's kind of the same story with the tires, I hate to pay more for a couple of parts than I did for the complete truck! Mine won't be that original!
