The most common standard grease zerk size is 1/4"‑28 SAE‑LT and is often used in automotive applications. They can also be found in agricultural environments as well as other various standard duty applications. For heavy-duty applications, larger 1/8"‑27 PTF grease zerk fitting sizes can be found.

The grease zerks can sometimes be a pain to get to. A grease gun adapter kit like this makes things go smoother in all your greasing adventures.

Now that is fancy. I never had any fancy grease gun adapters like that.
Every CUCV owner should have this fitting/adapter and use it semiannually. Amazon.com: Performance Tool W54216 4" Grease Gun Needle Nose Adapter : Automotive 1662293723872.png The CV joint on the front drive shaft up at the transfer case is begging for grease on most CUCV's and older 4WD vehicles I see. That is a much-neglected lubrication joint. I see the horror it can cause if it locks up.

Check it out. This happened at 65 MPH on I 81 bad lockouts and ungreased CV joint. I had to beat the lock outs out of the front hubs. They were never releasing and turned the front driveshaft until it blew apart and broke everything including the flange on the rear of the transmission.

The SAE- LT means Society of Automotive Engineers Lubrication Thread.
