i was at FT HOOD 3 days before that P.O.S. went on the shooting spree years back . I was so amazed at the mind numming amount of armor was in one place every road we drove out for miles on both sides was a sea of concrete and tan equipemnt ! I use to wonder if we had enough stuff and just between Hooks and Hood I sleep soundly !

Never "enough"......

Now, but ya "get em home" remember the maint. and fuel cost associated.......

Uncle Sugar spends in vast quantities! Remember driving duty trk to airfield and having target acquisition lock on and follow us down the range roads......FREAKY feeling.......just watching the barrel and turret follow you like a nervous father on his daughters prom date night!!

Good memories

At 17 gal/hour one might as well fuel it with the tears of underprivileged children.
Besides the fact that most of us won’t get near one not to mention own it.
.
But we can dream about having one.
Maybe just the ability to sit inside of a cute little tank...

It was pretty outstanding just having a very old M60 at Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hatches were welded shut and kids climbed all over it. There was a NCANG F86 Sabre Jet, a coal fired steam train (Gaineseville-Midland 301), an old steam engine, and two very old fire trucks - with hand cranks through the bumper.

Back when there was concrete to fall on - or rocks to fall on.
No fancy frills to break your fall!
