Hi there,

I recently bought a M1009 and have been trouble shooting a few issues. I’ve found that this site has so many good resources and people to help along the way. I’m excited to be here!

Welcome to the Outfit!

Be sure to create a new thread for your New-To-You truck.
You'll be surprised how it morphs over time...

Again, welcome to the group.

Thanks for the welcome. I see you’re in Charlotte, NC. I’m just down the road in Hickory.

Neat! That gets you close enough that a trip to Monroe for things like the Wings Over Monroe show two weeks ago. There is generally a small contingent of military vehicles on display at the front gate. I have done a few parades here in the big city and now that the WooFlu seems to slowly going away, there should be more opportunities for that stuff.

Welcome to Steel Soldiers! That is a clean looking truck. Do you have big plans for it? Daily driver, weekend toy? I've always liked those M1009s.
Thanks! I haven’t really decided on a set plan for it yet. It won’t be my daily driver, so it will probably turn into my weekend toy. So far I’m loving it. I just need to figure out the ins and outs of it lol.

It runs pretty good so far. I picked it up with 75,000 miles. Just finished changing out the cluster lights, and plan on getting other preventative maintenance items out of the way.

I hope you enjoy it! Getting hands on is the best way to learn about any new truck, I believe. If you don't already have them, the TMs (Technical Manuals) are very useful for troubleshooting, and are available for free download on the main page of this site. Good luck!
