I got a hold of a fire department that has one and they told me the wheel and tire size of the tires they have on the rear axles and it’s actually a 22.5 inch wheel on the firetruck. Problem is I don’t know where to get the wheel.
You could use Alcoa 833587 it's a 22.5x13 wheel $600 plus each. 10 on 335mm.

You could run a 445 65 22.5 or 445 50 22.5 which are 45s

Only offroad terrain tires are L315s and XZLs

10 on 335 mm is that the bolt pattern for the oshkosh tac 4 suspensions?

Let me make a call. I have sandblasted some fire truck wheels for a friend recently. He knows a guy that works on fire trucks locally. Might be worth a shot

How does that compare to the gearing on the stock MTVR transfer case? I would like to get my 65Mph RPM down to 1800 range.
Answered my own question 3000 t-case 1.271:1, the 5000 is not an All wheel drive type case would it work as an all wheel drive or alternatively would the truck computer be ok with it as a part time front axle drive? Any one want to chime in here?

It won't matter to the truck.

You can make the 55000 full time by just keeping it engaged or swapping yokes to the center output on the front

On Ebay right now, 9 rebuilt 55000 in military shipping cases, so this has sort of become more possible then I thought previously. Kind of looks like the 30000 is not as thick from front to back as the 55000 just looking at pictures. I Don't know if the 30000 pictured below is from a MTVR, I will Be looking at my truck tomorrow in the daylight, while looking at the picture of the 55000 below. Yokes Don't seem to line up the same too, and the thing off the back might prove to be an issue too. I also lack a good driveline shop in this area to make up for length and such. Still, it has me thinking, would be nice to go 70 with our bumping up against the rpm limiter. f77ad6fe-39e8-40d8-b30c-0a6f7ba3157c-hr.jpgs-l1600.jpg

30000 units from the HET A1s have a hydraulic pump hooked to the transfer case. Just like on the 55000 series cases. They are different from the others.

Yokes are just full round vs half rounds on the input side. Both are 1710s.

Yeah, there is definitely no room for that pump on the MTVR, I wasn't really worrying about the type of yoke, just their placement, in my truck the input yoke is recessed compared to the front output yoke by more then I could move the transfer case on the frame. With out a good driveline shop in a 100 miles, that could get hard to accommodate. the input shaft from transmission already being a pretty short thing too.

I found a couple of miles of deep snow drifts to play in yesterday, that is why there is snow packed up in there.

That input shaft is 11in long center to center
It's the same one used on the HETs. I've got a 4inch CV style yoke setup that comes from the 916s. You can get short and then real short.

I relocate transfer cases quite often. A mag drill is more or a necessity than anything
