Agreed with the above, I got one to pull mine and it works smooth as butter. plus the the three fixed positions for different configurations is nice if you wanna pull the whole drive train out.

Others can advise on the engine hoist, I use a large commercial "cherry picker", I would think it would be a challenge using something from say Harbor Freight as it is so far from the front of the chassis to the engine

Overhead rig with that lifting hoist sounds like the way to go.

This is what i used, for $700.00 at Harbor freight it does the work and can be used for future projects.
