Does anyone know of a good LMTV mechanic in the southern CA area? I figure there may be some good ones close given the proximity to Camp Pendleton in San Deigo. Looking for a mechanic that I can build a good relationship with for long-term routine maintenance, PM, etc., as well as to troubleshoot a few issues going on currently (such as cab tilt not working and misting oil from reservoir breather vent). Thx in advance for any recommendations.

So far I've done my own tinkering but my neighbor's son is a newly certified cat mechanic, and a co-worker of mine in Aliso Viejo was a Marine corps heavy vehicle maintenance specialist but now he's a machinist. I'll ask him if he knows anybody because I may need a hand from time to time. How far are you from camp Pendleton and in which direction?

I'm in Orange County, North Tustin... my truck is a BAE Titan (Cummins) not CAT but everything else besides the motor is the same more or less

Any luck on finding a good military truck mechanic for the OC ? I'm around North OC, Brea. Looking to get my M35A3 with the CAT 3116 back on the road after too many years in storage. Need front passenger dust boot replaced and general PM.

I have a friend who works in Aliso Viejo who was a diesel truck mechanic for the Marine corps. He's now a CNC operator I'll ask him if he's available to help but he's generally pretty busy with his kids.

None yet, I’m not looking for a one-off help from someone like serpico mentioned so I didn’t ask him to dig any deeper - I’m looking for an active mechanic who wants regular hours. In the meantime I’ve been doing everything myself but my time is limited.
