Ball Joint Taper

Hello, found one of my lower ball joints failing, and after pulling it out it looks like the taper in the portal has had a hard life as well.

Has anyone had any luck using a taper reamer to clean up the bore? If so do you happen to know the taper angle?

The trigonometric solution is to measure the two holes. Subtract the small hole from the large hole divide that by 2. Then take the arc tan of that answer divided by the cross-sectional area of the hole in the upright. :LOL:

Hopefully someone actually knows but GM uses 10deg on their trucks and just about everything on a HMMWV follows GM
