Can the later aluminum passenger seat base (battery box cover) be fitted to the early battery box?

Am I wrong or are there two different passenger seat bases, I see the plastic ones like Basic/A1/A2 trucks have then I see this aluminum base that I assume is for a later style truck.
Thats only on the M1114, the battery box on all other Hmmwv’s are the same..fiberglass battery box cover.
The battery box on an M1114 is not compatible with the fiberglass box cover, the battery box is not flush with the floor, it actually
lower and protrudes out the bottom of the floor about 3-4in

Thanks, I was asking if the later (M1114) cover could be fitted to the early battery box, I assume now that is a no.

Does anyone know how the M1165 passenger seat base/battery cover is secured in the rear? I have the two clip receiver things on the back of my fiberglass cover but there' aren't any clips on the truck itself to secure it. And it doesn't look like there are any drilled holes on the back of the battery box to mount these clips even if I had them. clips on the front of the passenger cover are OK. The seat and cover were just thrown in the back when I bought it so I've never seen it installed and I can't find any pics in the TM that provide a clue.
