Load testing MEP 803 A help

I'll be doing a load test soon before hooking up to my house.
The question is which way is better or does it matter?
Run one wire on a 120v leg out to 4 outlets and another wire on the other 120v leg to 4 outlets and use heaters and such or to hook up on the 220v and test it that way or does it matter?
Is load load no matter which way I do it?

A LOAD IS A LOAD! But, your wire had better be able to handle 50-75 amps on each of those legs. Probably easier to have four 12 ga wires on each leg, each with one outlet, lest the 'magic smoke' make everything for naught.

A load is a load, unless it's an unbalanced load, then it's more of a misleading load... causing inaccurate load meter readings.
Either way will work as long as you use approximately the same load on both legs and as mentioned above, make sure your wiring is up to par.
I personally like to use 240V loads ( like ovens ) to keep the load balanced, but either will work.
