Maybe someone can help…. I mounted 8 - 8” Bluetooth marine speakers in bed of my deuce and I added another battery to power the speakers. I am having trouble keeping my truck charged. I put the strongest alternator you can put in the truck, but that is not the problem. The batteries are getting juice from the alternator, but the others aren’t getting juice. I had them wired in multiple different ways to where the speakers would play constantly as long that the truck was running, but the other way they wired it dies after a few hours. But the truck will turn back on. It’s weird It’s very difficult to explain. Is it because my truck is hooked up to a 24v system and my radio is hooked up to a 12v?

Do I need to hook up another battery? A total of 4 and make the truck and the stereo a 24v to 24v system?

How is battery 3 being charged in the 24v system. There is not a clean way to wire it up unless you have a 24v/12v alternator.

You can maintain the 12v solo from the 24v pair by adding an inverter. You can maintain the 12v using solar or shore powered charger.

Cleanest solve is 24v audio and lose the 3rd battery. Wildest would be adding a 12v alternator to maintain the 12v battery.

I do have an inverter. I’m still not getting charge. I have heard that I need to add another alternator and isolate the audio from the truck batteries.
I had “professional’” someone wire the audio up because I know nothing about it.
have never tried to wire the audio off the 2 truck batteries, do you think I can run that audio system off the 2 truck batteries? Or is it to much?

Sounds like you hired professional 12v system installers. I'm not sure what you're do'n with 8 speakers outside the cab, but if your inverter is robust enough, you can power your entire 12v system with the inverter.

Don't try to power 12v equipment with 24v.

Sounds like you hired professional 12v system installers. I'm not sure what you're do'n with 8 speakers outside the cab, but if your inverter is robust enough, you can power your entire 12v system with the inverter.

I talked to them. I’m going to send it to them again. They are going to try a bigger converter or They said possibly need to try another battery 4 batteries total with a bigger converter

I meant to say 24V to 12V step down converter not inverter. You should be able to run the the 12V speakers directly off the converter provided the amperage is sufficient. Converters are sold in a variety of amps. What's the total amperage of your 12V circuit?

Those two Skar Amps will require a total of about 200 AMPS of current.
If you're going to add another battery consider two banks of the 12 volt batteries in series on a battery switch. You can run off either bank or both, also gives you a kill switch for the rig.

Do you think a 4 th battery is necessary? Because I don’t have any room for a 4th battery I would have to make a box somewhere to make it fit

If I can get away with it that would be great
