Thanks to all the replies about the power steering issue. I am getting close to buying either a power steering pump or a hydroboost unit.
Its kind of a guessing game as these small systems don't have pressure gages ect. Problem is a new whining noise and I can feel some vibration with the brake pedal. Both brake and steering system were full and no leaks when the noise etc started. I drained all the fluid from the ps system. Then did the 40 turn off the ground bleeding as per the manual. Have not tried to bleed the brakes as they seem to be effected by the power steering.
I have not seen a lot of hydroboost units selling as much as power steering pumps. Thats why asking here. Which ever one seems to go out first is probably what gets replaced. And the truck still has less than 2k miles. Still had plastic on seats and gearshift when bought. Not a scratch underneath from the road.
Thanks,
Dave
