the soft top on my M1165 is pretty beat up, and is missing the Cross supports. I was offered, for free, the soft top from a Hummer H1. are the Soft tops interchangeable?

The H1 has a middle and rear roll bar, where the HMMWV has a B and C pillar. Your attach points are going to be completely different. The HMMWV C pillar has little turnbuckles that slide through eyelets/grommets on the top and the H1 top is a lot of velcro.

If you ever buy a new top (aftermarket) i am very happy with William Welsh (blue ox tops) they fit like a glove.

Blue Ox tops fit like a custom tailored suit. The others out there fit like a Sears off the rack suit. I have one of the latter. They work tho and are quite a bit less expensive. One of these days after I get all the other stuff done (hard doors, new tires) I'll circle back around and get the big boy top.
