LOVE the Title of this thread!! OMGosh!!I have an MEP-802A and looking for the nuts that connect external wire and ground rod wires. Am I explaining this right.

You are not going to get the nuts. No one has ever found them, and in over 20 years in the Army working on gen sets, we always just ordered the whole stud. Attached is the solution to the clip problem. As you can see, this is a long, long, standing problem.

A thread gauge could help you tremendously with that....internal and external....metal composition is important too....don't want dissimilar metal corrosion to set in.

It's basically what is called a split bolt, or curney connector used by electricians. Try searching the internet under those names. I doubt you can buy just the nuts .

Its simply not possible to find the nuts. But the whole stud. If the nuts were missing, then look REAL GOOD, inside the gen set. Every little crack. Maybe someone is parting out a gen set? Or has a 400 Hertz set that is being parted out?

Hey! I found my nuts. Went back to the facility that I purchased from and they just happened to have a junk Gen out back and were happy to give them to me, HOORA.

Well, there is something to be said for a facility with junk in the rear that'll give you some nuts! Congratulations!!!
Seriously, good follow through.....Guyfang had a good suggestion of looking where they used to be....you did the legwork and presto, success!!
I started buying from there about 8-9 yrs ago and we have become kinda friends. Have purchased about 35 gens from there and this guy has been really helpful. I am considered preferred bidder. Jokingly.
