Trying to find a nice motor mount setup to stick the LQ9 into my m1123. What’s out there? Looks like Mountain Machine makes a nice setup but it’s $650. Is there a purpose built mount out there?

You could try using a LS to SBC adapter plate mounted to the factory diesel engine mounts. I believe the 6.2 and 6.5 have the same three mounting hole position as a traditional SBC. I haven’t done a LS swap only a LT swap so I’m just throwing some ideas out there. I’m personally not a big fan of the factory diesel engine insulators so I created a new mount design.

thank you! I saw a conversion with the LS/SBC adapter plate and even though it got the job done I wasn’t a fan. Even though I didn’t want to pay stupid money I went ahead and got the ones from Mountain Machine on order. Their design looked good and clean. I love what the guys from Grind Hard Plumbing did on YouTube with the Corvetter style isolator.

now I gotta figure out headers. Id like to use most of the stock exhaust as possible.
