Yep.

I tapped 12v at the PDC, ran a wire (in a plastic loom) thru the forward most body panel Then I added a 6-gang fuse block screwed onto the firewall on the driver side behind the kick panel. Handy for future additions, but the main goal was to fuse protect the Bluefire.
Sorry old thread revival, but just purchased the bluefire and the Y splitter, do you have a picture of this setup? Looking through the TM diagrams now to find the 12v ignition wire as well.

No real images of the setup, but it's pretty self-explanatory as long as you have the same y-splitter I used (one in/two-out).

First I severed the 24v pin on ONE of the y-splitter OUT ends
(so one side will still get 24v to the kick panel for the actual diag tools).
Sealed the live 24v wire where it is cut
Tapped into the output side of that same wire and connected a 12v source.
(this side will connect to the Bluefire and provide 12v)

Open the driver side left kick panel.
Disconnect the main diag port feed from the back of the panel
Re-attach main diag feed to the input side of the y-splitter.
Plug the 24v output cable (unmodified end) from the y-splitter into the back of the kick panel.
Plug the 12v output end of the y-splitter into the Bluefire.

Test it all out to confirm the Bluefire is happy.
Button it up.

*I ran a 12v wire from the breaker panel to a new 4-output fuse block to provide 12v to that side of the dash for various reasons
*and be sure to fuse your 12v power source before reaching the splitter

Basically, this:

Not sure if the link will work but here is the description from Amazon:

WBLD - Right Angle Overmolded J1939 Male to 2 Female J1939 Green Type 2 Splitter Y Cable
I tried some of the Amazon offers. Be sure to check the pinouts. Of the three I tired (that claimed to be compatible) all had different pinouts than the one I had gotten from Dearborn. So be sure to test the pinout.

This is the one I got from Dearborn:
DEARBORN PROTOCOL ADAPTER CABLE - DEUTSCH DG-JI939-04
