Water pump replacement

Hi folks,

Today I' ve tried to replace my old water pump with a brand new One.

But.. the new One do nof fit on water pump plate.

I've got an M1008 6.2 from 1985 and I bougth a brand new water pump from eastern surplus & equipment few months ago.

Has anything like this ever happened to any of you? How would you solve this problem?

Show the back of the pump...impeller side. You could have gotten a reverse serpentine belt pump. Hmmv used a serpentine belt not v belts and the pump was different. The catalog might say it fits but it won't. I've used a flow cooler water pumps on mine.

Yeah you got the serpentine belt reverse flow water pump. That won't work.

Sorry to say but you need the V belt pully pump, somehow you got the reverse flow serpentine belt pump.

Did you order Eastern Surplus part number SP-2839 for 6.2 engine? If you did and they sent you the wrong part they need to make it right. If you ordered the wrong part, like HM182, it's on you.
