Been a while since I've been back, went to the Weare rally last year and worked out a deal with Mike Morin and bought an 85 M1010 off him right before I left for basic. The green iron itch doesn't go unscratched, I suppose. Got it home and have been dealing with the usual ex-FD issues. Had some gnarly fuel in it (Smelled like a mix of wood stain and gear oil), and the IP was all kinds of messed up. Cleaned it and ran some distillates through it, got it running a bit better. Have a reman coming in the mail along with injectors, fuel pump, return lines, and a filter. Have some electrical issues to deal with when I'm back home again, something caught in the fan circuit. Will be getting the doghead mod, GP resistor bypass, and LMC headlight harness upgrade. Managed to find a NOS spotlight as well. Got my paint and primer on order from QTM and stencils/decals, going to have a lot of work for me when I come home late July.

Happy to be back in the game with some old iron, gonna be bringing it with me to my duty station in Alaska this fall. 4000 miles up thru Canada, how wrong can it go...

When you get to Alaska, I have a couple of former students stationed there, depending on the unit you go to.
Looks like you got a good find.

I'm up here now, truck is sitting with the folks for the summer while I build up some more leave. I'm over on the AF side but try to circulate as much as I can, networking is half the battle up here. Trying to find some people to wrench and wheel with as time goes on.
The truck was definitely a solid find. I don't mind the electrical work, and it's solid and fairly straight as it is being an Arkansas truck. Interior feels like the 38k the odometer reads.
