M934 expando van asbestos & parts questions

Hello all, First time poster.

I currently have a m934(i think?) expando van body that looks to have been used by commo equipment heading my way that i plan to use as an storage/ office/ bunk room. Just a few questions. I read that in some the asbestos has already been dealt with and the ducts sealed. How can i tell if this has been done to my unit? Also is that the only place asbestos is located, and not in the wall panels? Speaking of the wall panels, are they metal or wood? i find conflicting answers online. Also is there any go -to source for parts online? ive does some searching with the help of the TMs and have come up short with the rear door locking bar ( Connecting link, Rig) as mine is missing it. Mine also has a bit of damage to the doors ill need to bang out. Attached are some pics.

There is asbestos in the plenum the two heaters sit on and in the ducting that runs down behind the forward bulkhead. The way it was dealt with was to disconnect the heaters and pump expanding foam into the ducts in front wall. Then blank plates would be screwed on in place of the forward register grilles and a warning label affixed.

The true proper way to deal with it once and for all while still preserving functionality would be to disassemble essentially everything from the floor up to and including the plenum and remove all the asbestos. I tried this with an m447c (essentially the same body) and eventually gave up. Even after doing all this you still need to ensure the rest of the ducting is cleaned and checked if there is any evidence the asbestos has begun to crumble. Its a huge process. Also you want to wear a p100 respirator and a tyvek suit when doing any of this. Control dust by misting with water to prevent particles from becoming airborne from agitation.

Finally, there are legal and regulatory implications with asbestos disposal.

This MWO was often done here in Germany. But by the German maintenance units and mostly they sent it to the company Zeppelin, due to the Asbestos, and safety concerns.
