not to be silly @kendelrio but one could almost be like that gentleman looking away for a moment sighing a bit then turn back to you and saying "do you always have to add extra lights to everything you touch?" .. but either way thats an interesting hummwv kitting nevertheless
(on a funny side note, if you shine up the tires a bit more the photo almost could be mistaken for a scale model diorama literally)

Great ...
@Lawdog734
we are curious about some details around your MV
Yes sir! This is one of the USMC Polaris MRZR's that have been getting auctioned off. This particular model has a Kohler turbo diesel engine in it, which gets about 65hp. Most all of the MRZR's coming up for auction have the diesel in them. The early ones had the 900cc gas engine in it.

Overall Pros/Cons
- The military uses these as big ATV's, so it's not optimized to do anything expecially great. You're not gonna win racing in the dunes against purpose built machines, you're not gonna kick rear-end at rock crawling, etc. It just goes. Here in GA, where we can have tags that limit UTV's to county roads, I can zip around at 55mph without any issues. As the saying goes, it'll go fast enough to kill you if you're not careful.

- The military spec'd these to be no more than 60" wide, so that they can be rolled up into the back of an CV/MV-22 Osprey, so that means that the suspension parts are pretty specific to the MRZR - and Polaris is of zero help with sourcing parts. I did manage to break a CV joint on an axle and had to have a shop make an axle for me as Polaris doesn't have anything else that short for their commercially available models.

- The ROPS system is designed to fold forward, again so that it will fit into an Osprey. Part of the demil process is that the ROPS is tack-welded so that the ROPS can't be folded. The tack-welds are quickly cleaned up with a dremel, so mine is ready to roll into the Osprey, in the event that they come up for auction.

- Some are in better condition than others. I've seen some come up at auction that look like they were part of an airdrop incident and others where the driver clearly hit something hard, as one of the front wheels is basically knocked off. I got one that was a runner and didn't require a total tear-down. I had the intent of stripping this down and giving it an "as new" paint job, but this one looks great - it's honest wear, and I can live with that. Maybe one day I'll take the time to strip/blast everything and give it a paint job.

Gasser Notes:
- Engine parts are easily obtained - it's the standard 900cc engine that Polaris uses in other RZR's, etc. From a friend who has both the gas and diesel models, his perspective is that the 900 does better off the line/is "peppier", but the diesel makes up for it on the top end. I dunno, I just don't drive them that fast.

Diesel Notes;
- The Kohler KDW993 engine in this model was only over sold to the USG. The commercially available diesel Polaris Ranger uses the Kohler KDW1003 (I think), so it's not exactly the same, but the service manual for the engine is the same, as well as many of the parts. Again, Polaris Defense is of zero help in sourcing parts, so you're on your own but there are plenty of parts that are available for them. It's definitely got plenty of torque.
