LOL.... Doghead, your needed here!

Check the top threads in the cucv forum, there's a sticky there with the gm key code. Unlike some here, I don't have it memorized.

You're fine. Some of us get our feathers all ruffled over nothing. The whole key thing has been around a few times to the point that shirts were made with the key code on it. Tell ya what, PM me your addy and I'll drop a brandy new key in the mail for you. Welcome to Steel Soldiers.

A little note to add to this. I went to the Chevy dealer yesterday with all the key info, and he said I had to bring him a blank because they no longer carry it. Its too old.

Most hardware stores that make keys, should have the blanks on their rack.
Unfortunately, they(hardware stores) only copy keys and don't cut them by codes.

I just happen to sell key blanks to hardware stores for a living. When you go to your local ACE/True Value/Do it Best store just ask for a B49 key blank. B49 is the P/N used by most if not all manufacturing companys to designate a GM "B" blank

And....DH is correct about how keys are copied

I wish I had seen this thread earlier. I need to payback a key. I also was given a key by a member when I was looking for my 1008. Is this a great group or what?[thumbzup]
