AH...... the foto of the Mythical Optimizer engine that makes big HP. The last year of the 6.5 powered Hummers had Optimizers with the Catipillar computer, but they don't have the lower block support like the shown engine does. As far as I have seen, the military is not using an engine with a lower block support either. My opinion is that this engine is Boating technology and was used to start a buzz as a trade show or something like that.

I can't access that link 85m1025. I guess Membership is required. Does it have any fotos of that engine in a Humvee? If so could you lpost any that might show how far below the bottom of the frame rails the bottom of the oil pan is? Is there any info on a possible use of a different top mount turbo and the manufaturer of it? Any info would be great!

DOH!!! my bad! I would just sign up for the BB then you should be able to see it. sort of like you did for this BB. It's basicaly an article that details installing a p400 block in a pickup 3500 series. the oil pan is cast aluminium and needed to be modified from the HMMWV style to fit the truck chassis.

I'm assuming you can order it with the center mount turbo heads because it was designed for the HMMWV and thats what it shows on the SEMA pics. The girdle does add some to the bottom but it looks like the pan subtracts that extra material.

try this link to sign up http://www.thedieselpageforums.com/tdpforum/
