Barring over cummins

I'm trying to torque my flywheel bolts (210 fl/lbs) and I'm having trouble keeping the engine from moving.

What is the correct way to bar over the engine?

I tried the bolt on the accessory pulley, but it doesn't work too well by yourself.

I do not know your engine configuration , so this may not apply. But on several F/W replacements, I have used a piece of angle iron with holes drilled in it at a clutch cover bolt hole and one of the holes in the engine block or adaptor. Put a bolt in each one and see if it meets your approval to hold the engine while you torque the bolts. Alternate tool is a piece of strut angle or channel lit electricians use running conduit

because of the offset tween the flywheel and the clutch housing, a short piece of strap like 1" x 4" works good. If you to bend a little offset into the strap it doesnt seem to bind.

So your using a piece of strap and bolting one end to the engine housing using a trans bolt hole, and another using one of the pressure plate bolt holes in the flywheel?
