There are lots of marginal M35's out there for sale, fewer and fewer good ones, folks that want a good one are willing to pony up the big bucks. As more folks discover the hobby/addiction of MVs, you will see the good ones escalate in price, while the marginal M35's needing lots of TLC will stay more stable price wise. If you are on a budget, start with a TLC project, and put sweat equity into it.

As far as being worth the bid price, I would have to reserve judgment since the one picture of the back only hints at what is really back there. If someone previewed it and it is better than the pic represents and they wanted one like that then it could well be worth it. From what I could see, I wouldn't have bid over $2000.
