Auction prices go all over the map, depends on where it is, what condition, what equipment, etc. Private party/dealer prices for good ones are $8,000-$12,000. But like all things for sale, you sometimes come accross a good deal. Post a wanted ad in classifieds, lot of SS members have such things for sale from time to time. Idahomotorpool has several without winches, soft tops, average tires, paint, etc for the $10,000 to $12,000 price range. But they come with clean titles, and you know the overall and running condition before you fork over the bucks. You get what you pay for it seems.

I just got a depot rebuild M52a2, I must have gotten a smokin' deal! You really have to be careful on ebay. There is so many tricks that are used, like shill bidding. There is a 818 on our classifieds for $2950.

Due to the fact that there are many more auctions, auction sites and much much more inventory in the eastern half of the country then in the west, trucks back in the mid-west and eastern part of the country should sell for much less then out here in the west, due to the simple economics of supply and demand. If shipping was cheaper, it would help even things out a little bit, but it is hard to go back east to inspect a truck coming up for auction, then if you win the auction have it shipped out west and break even financially.
