New guy with Turbo question

Hi guys.

My truck is suppose to be a C model but it doesn't whistle. The previous owner took the stack off and routed the exhaust underneath near the fuel tank.

Whould this eliminate the whistle?

How can I check if they installed a D model turbo?

Truck runs great so I assume the turbo is working.

That is A "D"

a "C" is wide at the bottom like a "D" and decreases in width as it goes to the top.

A C model engine does not mean a C model turbo by the way.
