tow bar adapters

I just picked up some tow bar feet and was told that they were for the m35 but the pins to my lifting shackles are 1in and the holes in the feet are3/4. Does anyone know are the feet the same size just with difrfrent size holes. any help is appreciated.

3/4 ones have a shorter distance in the U of the feet also compared to the 1" ones. I don't think you can drill them out to 1", slot won't be deep enough.

Why not put a bushing in the deuce mounts to make it a 3/4 hole?

the 3/4" are for the HMMWV. you need the 1" for the Cucv and the M35 and up

strech great link I wsa thinking of a bushing also but incase does anyone have the larger feet they would be willing to trade or sell.

What did you get your adapters for $? Might be able to resell them, I doubt anyone would trade.

I paid $78 with shipping I just saw that austin has the larger and need to ask him to make sure I can get the right ones.

That sucks, someone had the correct feet on ebay, buy now for $55 with free shipping. I was going to get them, but fell on a $400 LDS motor.

I ended up making bushings for my 3/4" feet, worked just fine.

I finally did get a set of 1" feet, but after my first towbar experience, it may have also been my last. No I'm not selling my feet

Recovery thank you I had found it. That really didnt sound fun . Is there info in the manuals on how to properly tow a duece.

It sure was an adventure at that. I just wish I knew for sure what the root cause of the issue was. Otherwise it was an ok experience.

Ebay has some tow bar feet for HMMWV's (3/4 type) and for CUCV's, 2-1/2 ton and 5 ton's (1 inch type)
Pins also.
Type "CUCV" in the search block. A lot of good items.
