Just and FYI on those M35A2C's from FT Lewis. I inspected all three trucks and I did start them to make sure they would start. There were three trucks a 4k mile one, 9k miles one and a 11k miles one. (all are "C" engines w/whistlers)
The 4k has absolutely no brake pressure, pedal goes all the way to the floor. J-pipe is rusted all the way through, batteries are dead, most of the driveshaft seals are leaking as well as fluid leaking out of the pressure caps on axles, transfer case oil is pretty dirty. There is oil all over the driver side of the engine (loose oil filter canister? head gasket?
The 9k one has extra bows under the bed, good brakes, starts and drives:razz:, j-pipe rusted all the way through, spare tire is crap, oil in tranny is emusified (drain/fill before driving)
The 11k one has an extra set of bows as well under bed. No freeplay in brakes or clutch. Clutch engages about on the last 1-1.5". Definately needs adjustment. Noticed oil all over the driver side of motor also. Truck does run/drive:razz:

I got the 4k truck and I will inspect the brake system and replace whatever is necessary when it gets home. I will probably try a 4" J pipe mod on it as well. I went there to look at the M818s and ended bidding on the M35A2Cs. The M818s were nice, but its more truck than I will ever need.
All three M35A2Cs looked like USAF contract trucks per the contract # and the blue warranty tags on the dash.

OD_Coyote too bad on the five ton and congrats on your deuce! The 4" j pipe should be a good upgrade! Let me know how it goes!

I was there last Tuesday. My son and I were drooling over the M818s and then we had to take a look at the M35A2Cs. Anyway, I decided to bid on any of the (3) deuces instead of the M818s. An M818 with a deuce bed would be a real sweet rig, but going with a deuce means I dont have to deal with the licensing issues etc.
