Windshield wiper question! Is this normal, or how to fix!?

Question for all you old hands here!

I got my first Deuce and I love it.
However I noticed that the windshield wipers move at drastically different
speeds. When the drivers is at a good pace, the passenger side is not moving.
When the passengers is at a good pace, the driver's is in typhoon mode.

What do I have to do to make them both move in the same ball park regarding speed?

Go to Lowes & buy some 1/4" (inside diameter) air line for $0.45/ft & some new hose clamps & redo the airlines around the windshield. It will take you about 20 minutes & will make a big difference.

Gets rid of the stock, sucky blade and replaces it with an off the shelf Anco blade and arm. Way better wiping action.

Do you have plastic wiper motors? I have noticed that they stick more than the all metal ones, causing one wiper to move slower than the other. I replaced my blades and all the hoses with the Saturn upgrades and still had the problem. Switched to all metal motors and now they run the same speed. They aren't cheap - $85 ea. but worth it if you want working wipers.

Clean and lube the plastic ones and then install a small plastic or metal air valve (a fuel shutoff valve for snowblower, rototiller etc. will work) into the drivers side wiper line. Get the passenger one operating at the speed you want and then slow the driver's side down with the valve. I had to do the opposite with mine. Should cost you 2 or 3 dollars and a small amount of time. Save yourself $170.00 for new wiper motors.

Well, reviving an old thread here, but just how do you turn ON the windshield wiper motors. Is there a switch I'm missing somewhere?

Knob at the bottom of the dash, to the left of the steering column. Unscrew it till they move. Unless you have the electric wipers, then I cant help.

Marvel Mystery Oil, directly in the air port of the wiper. I use air tool oil.

I had a BIG dead spider that built a nest inside one of my air wiper motors and it caused this. Pull them apart and clean and lube. Good luck!

I had wasps built a nest in one of the cylinders exhaust tubes (the small 180° bent tubes). This had a similar effect, and you can't visually see if the tubes are clogged because they open towards the window.
I took the cylinders apart, cleaned them, lubed them with air tool oil, then it was fine!
Don't use WD-40! If it is a lubing problem, it might get slightly better first, but after a short time it will be worse (WD40 "dries" and gets thick).
