Just bought my first deuce from SS member Andydieselpower (www.army6x6.com) out of MN on Tuesday night. Andy was great to deal with and would recommend him to anyone wanting to get a truck of their own. Its a 1970 Kaiser Jeep M35A2 with Hercules "D" turbo which was manufactured in 1993. The engine looks like a fresh replacement as the paint isn't even burnt off of it yet and runs very well. It has either start, heater, air ride seat, and troop seats as the options. Truck had CARC put on it in 12/1997. Other than some minor touch up paint, changing filters/oil and swapping out a couple of tires the truck is ready to go.

I'm going to lease the truck to a military museum up here where it will be used for recruiting events and parades. In return it gets stored on base where I can access it anytime I want.

Before I get you guys (who don't miss anything by the way) busting me over parking the truck in gear there is a reason; the parking cable has some moisture in it and is frozen in place. I have the cable un-installed and in my house thawing where I'm going to dry/lubricate it so it will not freeze anymore.

The "lease" is more of an agreement that is allowing a POV to be used by the museum for museum purposes, nothing more. I don't get compensated for it. I'm putting military collector plates on it and here in MN to get them you have to have the vehicle associated with a group soley for historical or educational purposes.

Looks like a very nice truck Dan, congratulations. It ought to stop your M105 better than the vehicle in your avatar!

Cheers

One the weather turns nice I'll have to hook them up together and get a new avitar picture. The ATV does ok stopping the trailer (steering is interesting though), I never get above 5mph with it and only use it to move the trailer from behind my house up to the front.

Thanks

Dan,
Thanks for the compliments. It was a pleasure working with you. We are looking forward to coming to your museum's open house when the weather warms up!

Thanks again,
Andy
