Does anyone here have 5 tons that have been singled out? What size tires/rims did you use? How do they drive?

A whole bunch of those 5 ton beadlock HEMMT wheels sold today at OKC GL, should be plenty of wheels floating around soon, I got one pallet (12 wheels) myself.

Daniel, you just know I've got several. I'll post them tomorrow...multiple M925A2s, M936A2, M929A1, M928A1, singled USMC M817, multiple USMC M813a1s, etc. I'll send pics.

Those HEMTT rims will not work on a deuce without serious mods. Even on a 5 ton, they are stretching it. They will work, but the studs are too short so you are looking at replacing the lugs at the least.

heres another (one or 2)

well my M5544A2 drives great steers good turning circle MUCH better. more mpg. less revs at higher cruise.

the "haglan as we nickname it is outstanding..motorway truck cruise lovely steer (one finger at standstill) comfy ride...same as tother one in respects. oh, and the wheels on the m44 are stock 5ton (fronts have centres relocated to widen stance. on 1400x20s. (the haglan is super singles on widened rims and 1600x20s.

Here's my 923A2. I miss that truck If I could find it I would try to buy it back from the guy. Dang...

Hopefully I'll have some of the 925A2 soon if I can actually get a day to go to Winslow's to pick up the tires and wheels so I can get the new tires put on

The 14R20 XL's ride very nice at 60 MPH. Much better traction than NDT's. Make sure your brakes are in good condition to stop all of that rotating mass.
