Anyone ever run anything besides diesel in their M35 a2?

Hi guys!
I'm new to the sight and a newbie with MVs as well.
I spent 6 1/2 years at Bragg, but I've never owned an mv so I consider myself an extremely "green", wet-behind-the-ears, MV virgin who knows squat!!!:-D
Having said that...lol..... I intend to purchase my first a2 duece in the next month or so....possibly within the next couple weeks. One of the reasons I want an A2 is because I want to have the ability to run anything from diesel or fingernail polish to recycled sewer water as a fuel. :-D I was going to convert my chevy 2500 HD to run on vegetable oil, but have decided against it. However, I would love to be able to have this as an option for my A2. Have any of you guys ever ran anything besides diesel in your A2s? If so, did it run reliably? Also, with the cat engines in the M35 a3s, do you have the same option or is it diesel only? Any help will be greatly appreciated! A member of ar15.com listed this site as a great place for information on MVs and from what I've seen so far he was correct. This will be my first MV restoration so I'm sure I'll be posting plenty......as a matter of fact, you'll probably come to hate seeing me come online...lol.

I've ran through bunch of different alt fuels in my M292. The compensator has been removed so it's supposed to run on diesel only. I heated and filtered everything and mixed 50/50 with diesel. I've used waste trans fluid, motor oil, and waste veggie oil. It runs perfectly on any of these with no difference in mileage 8-10. I also converted an old F350 to run on waste veggie a few years ago. It's still running strong and getting 20mpg. It would start fine on wvo in the winter but it had a two tank system anyway. I did the conversion for around $60 in parts. It's pretty cool but collecting and filtering things can be a pain.

The FDC is not what makes the m35a2 a multifuel.
