What are these things on the firewall?

Was removing the heater yesterday, and had to attack a wiring mess on the firewall that I want to clean up and simplify. These three black things had a pile of jumpers plugged into them, not sure the purpose, I can't find them in the manuals. They are the black, two-socket electrical plugs on the firewall....

If they are circuit breakers how do you reset them?

You don't reset them. They are thermo-couplers. When a short occurs, it generates heat, there are two different types of metal in the coupler; 1 expands and the other flexes. when it heats (or overheats) the metal that expands causes the metal to flex away from the contact point,. breaking the circuit. When it cools off, it reconnects.

I wondered this too, but it's stayed on the back burner. Mine are bypassed and the PO put fuses in place of them. I only have one left.

That's good to know, since I only have one on the wall. My horn is through a (I think) 10A spade fuse.

(heater, horn) ...and AUX Power (Tractor and trailer receptacle) ?

I think that is the only Stand alone breaker on the deuce too.The light switch has some inside(and it SUCKS when they get worn out and trip going down the highway!).

Mine m35 only had one. I had to add another one, to power my convoy lights. Connecting the light kit to the headlight circuit as per instructions, would keep tripping the breaker in the light switch.

That's the one I'm missing from my van. I'll have to research WHICH one it is...

Yeah, I tried to see if the rating was on it, but with 8 coats of paint...

It is probably the 20amp, I don't know. As it would have to run the vent fan, lights and the personnel heater, it could be the 30amp too.
