Ok, how does THAT work? Can you attach the alligator clips to the deuce battery and have an inverter for 110? I jus don unnerstan...:|
Yes you could, but just one battery. And you'd have to cut the alarm speaker wire.
It would also be good to add an extra fan, because UPS aren't designed to run continuously.

Yup, you got it!

Frodo I dont have an MV so the 24v isnt a problem yet, but I'm actively working on that!

The ups I have is a 1500va APC, I can turn off the alarm and it's rated for 100% duty cycle. But it is a much larger ups so the cooling aspect has been engineered into the construction.

Do you play around with that kind of stuff for work?

sorry for getting this off topic...

That's a great idea for an inverter!

You can buy them pretty cheap on Craigs List with bad batteries. I think I have a Smart UPS 2200 sitting around that needs batteries, it would work fine.

I pulled a log skidder with mine this past weekend. Had to take it slow but it pulled it. These trucks are awesome!!!!! Can't wait to pick up the other one I just bought.

Mine is "IT Manager"... But like you, most times I find myself doing all kinds of things that have nothing to do with the IT field.

Sometimes I threaten to start driving a truck for a living!

Here is my deuce parked at the coffee shop. A nice looking chick had just told me how much she liked my truck, but when I jumped in it to leave feeling all happy, it would not crank.

So I tried to revive it with the battery charger.

On another funny note, when I went to get my battery tested, I had to jump off the truck. I used the slave cable terminal for the ground. So I removed my dust cap and laid it on the gas tank. Well I forgot to put it back on. I drove home over railroad tracks and potholes for a few miles, and when I looked on the tank, the dust cap was in the same place I left it !
