Low air pressure light trouble

I just installed a LAP kit in the deuce to replace the buzzer and I am having some trouble. Buzzer worked fine but I replaced it for a light as to not scare my grandboy or deer at hunting camp when I flip the switch.

Problem is, the light stays on all the time. I am not losing air so i assume that the buzzer has to me hooked up as per the instructions or am I missing something. I am not very good with electronics but I followed the plans to a TEE. any thoughts?

If you install a low air light, it is powered from the buzzer I believe. So, when the buzzer stops, the light goes off (no power going to it). You have, however, removed the buzzer & hooked full-time power into the light, which is why it is staying on all the time.

If your air pressure gauge works, and you dont want to scare anything....then just remove it all & watch the gauges before you move.

BUT.....keep in mind that if you lose pressure while moving & dont have the buzzer functional, you could wreck (where it could have been avoided w/a warning).

you did install the T in the wiring harness to power the light right? the buzzer does not have to be hooked up for the light to work. they are supposed to work together. both come on and go off at the same time. you can pull the wire on the top of the buzz box so it doesn't come on but you need the wiring done right for it to work.

I unplugged the wire to the buzzer, plugged that into the tee then to the light, as per the instruction manual

The only thing that can make the light stay on all the time is constant power. When air pressure is about 70lbs the light should go off because power is cut to it. If the buzzer worked fine before the LAP install , I would have to say there is a wire mixed up some where.

I agree... Not being sure exactly what the kit consists of, or how it's wired in, all I can say is that for an electrical device to operate it requires a complete circuit, power and ground. Something is giving it both, when it should not be.

The air buzzer worked correctly (and stopped working at the correct time) prior to this addition?
The air buzzer wire provides power to the kit, and what other wires were installed?
The light is on when there is air, but does it remain on when there is no air, or does that condition turn it off?

I have both buzzer and light in my truck , I can get pictures if you like. My light is a Military add on , I also have a blinking hand brake light above my dash that blinks when your hand brake is on.

The buzzer worked fine, shut off at @ 60psi.

The kit has a light for the dash, also has a t connector which when you unplug the buzzer ,you put that wire to the single connection side, then you use the wires supplied in the kit to connect to the buzzer and another to the light. Thats about it. Could the pressure control unit be bad? or poorly grounded?

I am stumped. I just went outside and checked the wiring and it is as the drawings say. I also noticed that the light is dim. ( not thinking it should because it is a led light)

I installed a kit in my m35a2 but it's not an led light. Maybe there is a problem with the kit. The light should be bright not dim. Disconnect the light and plug in your buzzer and see what happens.

OK the, there's no reversing the ground and power... It's grounded since it's lit. It's lit all the time, but the buzzer works correctly. The next thing I would think of is somehow there's a trace of continuity through the air pressure switch when it should be open. If that were the case, a volt meter should find it easily, OR you could test the function WITHOUT the buzzer hitched up and it would stay on, or WITH the buzzer and it would work just fine but then you've defeated the purpose...

I will check tomarrow with a meter because today I changed the front boots because I installed the first set wrong ( clamps toward the front) my bad .after the light, its on to the front pinion seal, always something to do on her but it is fun learning how these things tick.
