To continue my series of "This is what this many whatsises looks like in a _____", we have for your viewing pleasure 25,000 rounds of genuine US Military surplus .30M1 ammunition delivered straight from the Anniston Depot to the secure (and almost completely dry, almost) insides of my M109A3. 108 individual spam cans, in their own little cardboard boxes, each with it's own FedEx label (the poor guy had to scan every one of them), stacked neatly in my M109, 75 on the left and the rest on the right. shipping weight of 15# each for a total weight of 1620#.

We can also see how the little buggers fit in the bed of a Toyota Tundra 4 door when the owner came to get them, they were not for me sadly:-(

I noticed they were not for you. I was going to ask why you had so little at home? Most Texans would be considering ordering more under the circumstances.

I agree with BoT. I agree with HRD. I'm just generally agreeable.

So, what does over 3./4 ton of .30-06 cost in American dollars?

Wish I had the cash to get that much. I just bought 1,000 rounds from CMP. They went up $7.00 per can right after I bought mine.
What is a good way to get a broken 8mm shell out of a 1919A4? Shell split in half.

I really don't think it's fair to slam a person for "hoarding".
I know folks that have alot of stuff that I simply can't afford. I have stuff (not much) others can't afford.
It's like anything else...some play big, some play small and some can't even play.
If I can't play one game...I just find something else that I can.
This is not a blast at anyone...just an observation.

He is not hoarding, he has a lot of mouths to feed, a semi auto 1919, a pile of Garands and plenty of others. He figures that now he doesn't need to buy ammo for a while...

If the case is split down the middle there might not be enough mouth for the case extractor to grab, an 8mm chamber reamer will bite into the brass and spin it out, just be SURE you aren't cutting any steel and making a bigger chamber!

And I will find a way to get it recorded in hi def 3D with 5.1 surround if I can watch. And open the door of the truck after..

It would be like Captain Kirk getting buried in dead tribbles.

Point that truck north to Alaska.
I know a nice fella, named "Chris".
Who would love, to get his grubby hands on "that" cal.
Ammo is very scarce up here. And expensive!!
I just bought another DPMS in that cal.
Oops, I mean Chris just bought it...
