Thanks so much .. also there a broken circle on the door with an 8 inside of it. also on another truck we picked up that day. curious as if that maeking is helpful at all.

the circled 8 is the bridge weight classification. You should also have a circular metal plate on the front brush guard with numbers on it. Most of the time the numbers get switched to 69 (whatever that means LOL) but it's suppose to read 08 also. When the truck is fully loaded it is something different. The door number is unloaded weight.

This may be a question that has been answered many times but I have not found it from searching.

Is it against the rules to ask about a VIN from a GL truck that has not been won yet as long as you don't identify anything about the auction? I'm guessing it is probably a no no but I thought I would ask since some of the GL info doesn't seem to match up.

Anyway, a big thanks to carnac for this service since one way or another when I do finally get a deuce I will want to get the details for it.

What would we do without Carnac?? He is probably the biggest source of member donated revenue for this site. You all missed my alterior motive. I'm trying to get more posts than Kenny and this is the only way I know to do it. LOL Only 10 thousand more to go.

Ok, here is a stumper.... When I got my deuce from GL at SANGB (Mt Clemens MI) I also picked up a M105A2 trailer. I'm not sure what info you can come up with on this but the data plate indicates serial is 17063 and it has a delivery date of 3/54!!! Here are a couple of pics...

Oh, this trailer must have ended its service as an armorers trailer, it was filled with cleaning equipment, night vision mounts, etc. A very cool bonus!
