vac pump question

So the bastard M1009 work continues, The trans. swap is complete now engine swap is ready for completion, finializing part swap ect. My question do I need the a vac pump, the 700r4 trans shifts with detent cable my I.P. looks bare without the vac. lines is thier any reason to leave it maybe I am over looking somthing

The vac pump was used for the transmission via the "valve" on the injector pump. So, the new transmission uses a TV cable in place of the vacuum. You could leave the pump if you don't have the drive unit mentioned above. I would then put in a breather filter on it so it does not suck in any dirt.
