But in all fairness to the newbees, I too have been guilty of being lazy or in too big of a hurry to check out the TM or old threads first.
Me too but 99% of the time I make an attempt to find info. I have now read all the 10 and 20 level manuals for the CUCV, deuce, and 800 series. I don't even own an 800 series (yet and doubt I will). I've also read the -34 on the CUCV and the deuce is a -24.

I keep thinking I need to sit down and do a long presentation on how to use the -xxP manuals to find manufacturers.

I think I mentioned earlier, this thread bore the brunt but the one that really PO'd me was someone asking about changing out a deuce radiator. Guess they somehow already knew it would take them longer to look it up and read how to do it than it would take to accomplish the task.

wait, I thought I said I was leaving.

Perhaps I wasn't apologetic enough. Anyone here ever visit General Discussion of ar15.com?
No need to apologize. John Wayne said it was a sign of weakness. Guess he never got that across to the gutless leader. Let's not go down that road further on we'll get booted and band.

Nope, never on AR15.com. I have my hands full enough with my yard, my trucks, my kids, my frantic wife, my job, and doing the VIN info on here. Oh and also bit#hing about TM's.
