i know you all have talked about this before but im new to the site and still learning my way around. what should i compair the 1008 to when i go to the auto parts store replace bad parts. ex radiator hoses, belts, alternators.

84 K-30 is the closest truck you will find.

Alternators have to be "military" only. www.odiron.com for them
99% of other parts are just civy parts.

i also need a front drive shaft i just got my truck last week and it didn't have a drive shaft

There was just a thread on the front shaft recently, you should search for that one!

trans hoses? huh? and for the drive shave have one made or fine one from a junk place. just make sure it has the same front axle and t case. But like I said it be alot ezer to take it to a shop and have one made.

ya i saw it. he orderd one that was 4 inches to sort then orderd one 3/4 in to long. i dont have an old one to measure. thats why i was woundering about the interchangable parts so i could just order one

ok i will call around and see who makes them. im use to just picking up the phone and ordering the part now i have to hunt the part sounds like fun

Try Jim Henry, or other Surplus vehicle places, I bet you can get an original cucv shaft from someone.
